After I kill a monster, is the corpse supposed to disappear?
After you kill a monster, it will sparkle and you’ll have the opportunity to loot it (this may change if you’re in a group, depending on the Party Looting Settings). Once a creature has been looted, or even if it isn’t, it will disappear over time. Certain creatures are also Skinnable (Skinning tradeskill), and will display as “Skinnable” after they have been looted, if you mouse over the corpse.
At what level will a monster stop giving me experience?
As players become higher level, they will be able to receive experience from a large range of monsters. You will get experience from monsters whose level is written in red, orange, yellow, or green. Once the level becomes grey, you will no longer get experience from it.
How can I tell which monsters are attackable?
When you mouse over a monster, if your mouse pointer changes to add a sword icon, it means you can attack the monster. Please note that if you right-click on the monster when you have a sword icon, you will automatically attack the monster if you’re close enough.
What is a critical hit?
Many attacks and spells have a small percent chance to be a critical hit that does extra damage or has a greater affect. The actual chance any given attack will be a critical hit is random, but your chance for one to occur can be raised with items that increase Agility (melee attacks), Intellect (spells), and other items/spells/skills.
